Light red or rose transparent liquid, relative density 2.82, melting point 25.8℃, boiling point 129.4℃, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, decomposition at 160℃-200℃ to form manganese dioxide.

It is used as a reagent and oxidant for the determination of silver in trace analysis, for the preparation of electronic components, for the phosphating of metal surfaces, for the manufacture of manganese dioxide raw materials and intermediates, and also used as ceramic colorants and metal phosphating agents.

It is a secondary inorganic oxidizer, danger number 23023. It should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse to prevent moisture and heat, rain and sun exposure during transportation, and be handled gently during loading and unloading to prevent leakage and damage of the barrel mouth.
